Former Resident of Winn Parish Dies In California

The death of Stewart Johnson, 65 years, a former resident of Winn Parish,
occurred in Cottonwood, Calif., Sunday, Nov. 23.  Funeral services were held
at the Cottonwood Baptist Church of which the deceased was a member and burial
was made in the Cottonwood Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Johnson of Cottonwood,
Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Gladys McLamroe and Mrs. Edwin Stroud; six
grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Lois Johnson, one sister, Mrs. J. E.
Strickland, all of near Montgomery, La.; one brother, E. C. Johnson, Clarence,
La., and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

A native of Louisiana, Mr. Johnson has many friends in this section who will
regret to hear of his death.
