J. J. "Ned" Johnson

Graveside services for J. J. "Ned" Johnson, 70, of Winnfield were held at 11
a.m. Saturday, in the American Cemetery under direction of Blanchard-St. Denis
with Dr. Jolly Harper officiating.

Johnson died Thursday, October 20, 1983 in his New Orleans home.

He was a retired owner of the Winnfield Hotel and a native of Nacogdoches,
Texas.

Survivors include two sons, John J. Johnson III, of Winnfield and Mark Johnson
of Shreveport; one daughter, Laura Jo Johnson of New Orleans; his mother,
Maude Johnson of Winnfield and three grandchildren.
