Last Rites For Mrs. Ethel Johnson Held May 2

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Johnson, 76, of Calvin were held at 2 p.m.
Saturday in St. Maurice Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence Bates and the
Rev. R. F. Hancock officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under
direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson died at 3 a.m. Friday in a Jonesboro hospital following a lengthy
illness.

She was a native of Arkansas and had resided in Winn Parish for the past 40
years.  She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, Mrs. E. J. Yocum, Calvin and Mrs. 
Clarence Cromwell of Minnesota; three stepsons, Henry and Floyd Johnson, both
of Calvin, and Amos Johnson of Houston; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Funk,
Pineville, and Mrs. C. T. Rodgers, Winnfield.
