Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield with Rev. T. E. Williams officiating, assisted by Rev. Jewell Canerday. Burial was in Sanders Chapel Cemetery in Calvin. Sanders was a native of Bossier Parish and a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Johnson; three sons, James Ray, Jimmy Roy, and Ted Wayne Johnson, all of Calvin; two brothers, Glen Johnson of Arkansas and Wilburn J. Burro of Arkansas; four sisters, Mrs. Clyde Suens of Bossier City, Mrs. Bessie Rhodes of Benton, Mrs. Ruby Parks of Illinois, and Mrs. Willie Grey Swats of Cotton Valley; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Willard Taylor, L. L. Brewton, Sr., L. L. Brewton, Jr., J. P. McManus, Louie White, Homer Taylor.
