Mrs. Johnson was the widow of the late Lee Johnson, Veteran of World War I, who was honored by having his name used as a party of the name of the local V. F. W. Post Home, a member of the First Presbyterian Church for approximately 50 years, a member of the Women of the Church and a Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Payne-Johnson V. F. W. Post Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert Gage officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Survivors include a brother, L. C. Whatley of Winnfield, and several nieces and nephews.
