Last Rites For Willie Johnson Held at Sikes

Funeral services for Willie Johnson, 79, a retired farmer who died Sunday in
West Monroe after a long illness, were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Sikes
Baptist Church with the Rev. B. T. Durbin officiating.  Burial was in the 
Cataline (probably County Line) Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Nettie Thornhill and Mrs.
Harvey Beavers of Pineville, and Mrs. Johnny Roan and Mrs. Claudia Lawrence of
West Monroe; four sisters, Mrs. G. P. Martin of Chatham, Mrs. Evie Smith
and Mrs. Betty Antley of Monroe and Mrs. Lee Valentine of New Orleans; nine
grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
