Johnson of Wheeling Dies Tuesday Morning Funeral Services Held on Wednesday P. M. at Mt. Zion Church Horace C. Johnson, well known citizen of Wheeling community, died at a Shreveport hospital early Tuesday morning following a brief illness. Mr. Johnson was 63 years of age and a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church, from where funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. J. A. Jones and the Rev. Lula Wardlow. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Church cemetery. Mr. Johnson was a successful farmer and up to a few years ago engaged in the contracting business. He was active in the community activities. Surviving him are his widow, the former Miss Clara Fowler, one daughter, Mrs. Clyde Sheffield, of Wheeling, and one son, Earl Johnson of Rodessa, one brother, Ralph Johnson of Montgomery, and one sister, Mrs. Rhett Harrison of Montgomery.
