Funeral Services For R. G. Johns, 68, April 10

R. G. Johns, 68, died last Thursday in a local hospital.  Funeral services
were held Friday, April 10 in Zion Hill Baptist Church, with burial in Zion
Cemetery.

Rev. A. T. Valentine officiated the funeral and Southern Funeral Home was in
charge of burial.

Mr. Johns was born March 18, 1884 and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, James L. Johns of Bossier City and Jesse
W. Johns of Doyline; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Johnson of Calvin; two stepsons,
Paul and Joe Havis, of Winnsboro; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Cockerham,
Winnsboro; Mrs. Lola Mae Mason, of Sicily Island; Miss Louise Havis of
Leesville; 13 grandchildren and two brothers, William Johns of Winnfield and
Warren Johns of Winnsboro; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Brinkley, Mrs. Hattie
Holley, Mrs. Ola Cockerham, all of Winnsboro, and Mrs. Bertha Goins, Bentley.
