Johnston. 87, 810 Summerlin Lane, Bastrop, died 6:20 a.m. Tuesday at the home of a son J.W. Johnston 578 Summerlin Lane. He was a native of Mississippi. He moved to Winn Parish 84 years ago, and had resided in Bastrop for about four months. He was a member of the Sikes La., Methodist Church. Survivors include five sons, B.A. Johnston, Bastrop; J.W. Johnston Bastrop; W.M. Johnston Sikes; Roy Johnston, Monroe; three daughters, Miss Nola Johnston, Pineville La: Mrs Varence Fontenot, Lake Charles, La: Mrs. J. V. Gilbert Monroe: one brother, Sylvester Johnston, Monroe; 24 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two foster grandchildren. Funeral services under the direction of Blackwell and Golden, Bastrop will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Sharion Church with Rev. Cass Crane, Columbia La., and Rev. Clyde Parker, Dotson, officiating. Burial will be in the Dotson cemetery.
