A. Johnette, 59, Succumbs; Rites At Iatt Willie A. Johnette of Route 1, Colfax, died November 1, at 10:30 p.m. o'clock Wednesday of a heart attack in Cisco, Texas, while visiting his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ulmer Johnette. He was 59 years and seven months of age. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Iatt Baptist Church. Rev. Gerald Page officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Pallbearers were Thomas Lashley, Earl Oglesby, Joseph Earl Oglesby, Phil Lasyone, J. D. Fredieu, Huey Oglesby, and Kenneth Lasyone. He was a native of Grant Parish and a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fern Johnette; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Sharbano, both of Route 1, Colfax, Louisiana; four brothers, Ulmer Johnette of Cisco, Texas; Arlo Johnette of Route 1, Atlanta; Jessie Johnette of Brooklyn, New York; and W. B. Johnette of California; two half sisters, Mrs. Tressie Culp of Winnfield, La., and Mrs. Lessie LaCaze of Natchitoches, La.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
