James Lawson Jones

Services for James Lawson Jones were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Welcome Home
Baptist Church with the Revs. Lester Carpenter and J. W. Kennedy officiating. 
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery, Sikes.

Jones, 67, of Winnfield, died Thursday, January 22, 1987 in North Monroe
Community Hospital.

Survivors include two daughters, Anita Culpepper of Jonesboro and Linda
Ashmore of Burkeville, Texas; two brothers, E. D. Jones and John Jones, both
of Kilgore, Texas; four sisters, Anie Lea Barker of Odessa, Texas, Janie Mae
Helms of Harlingen, Texas, Pauline Carpenter and Zelma Carpenter, both of
Dodson; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
