Funeral Rites for Mrs. Jones At Crossroads

Mrs. Mattie Lee Jones, 71, of Crossroads community, Winn Parish, died
Saturday, August 27, 1977 at her residence.

Services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Crossroads Baptist Church with
the Rev. J. D. Enterkin officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery,
Southern Funeral Home Winnfield, in charge.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Jones; one son, Lavelle Jones of
Tullos; two daughters, Mrs. Charlene Jordan of Grand Cane, and Mrs. Alma
Pickens of Morgan City; four brothers, Walter Welch of Fort Bragg, Calif.,
Dawling Welch of Goldonna, Lawrence Welch of Columbia, and Everett Welch of
Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Belle Coleman of Shreveport, and Mrs.
Vesta Fletcher of Monroe; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family asks that memorials be made to the Crossroads Baptist Church, P.O.
Box 131, Winnfield, La. 71483.
