All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Charlie Jones, Obit March 19, 1959, Winn Parish Enterprise Mrs. Charlie Jones, Former Resident, To Be Buried Here Mrs. Charlie Jones, about 69 years of age, former resident of Winnfield, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Gregg, in Baton Rouge Wednesday night. Funeral services were conducted in Baton Rouge Thursday, and graveside services and burial will be made in the Zion hill cemetery near Tannehill Friday at 11:30 a.m. Mrs. Jones was the wife of the late Charlie Jones, who at one time was head of the water department of the Town of Winnfield, and also was prominent in the lumber business. Since his death in Lake Providence, La., she has been residing in Baton Rouge. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gregg, Mrs. Mable Bates of Baton Rouge, and Audry of San Antonio, Texas; a number of sons, three of whom were Keith, Reginald and Clifford; and a sister, Miss Ella Nash, also of Alexandria.
