Final Rites For Mrs. Docia Jones At Cypress Creek

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 2, at 2:30 p.m. for Mrs. Docia
Jones, 76, Winn Parish resident who died Thursday of last week.  Mrs. Jones
was a native of Dodson.

The Rev. J. A. Cockerham officiated at the services which were held in Cypress
Creek Baptist Church.  Burial under the direction of Southern Funeral Home
followed in the church cemetery.

Survivors include the husband, Curtis Jones; two sons, Doyle and Alon Jones,
both of West Monroe; seven daughters, Mrs. Etta Blackman, West Monroe, Mrs.
Ethel Bedgood, Goldonna; Mrs. Rose Neathery, Oak Grove; Mrs. I. S. Carpenter,
Dodson, Mrs. Dorothy Parker, West Monroe, Mrs. Virgie Carpenter, West Monroe,
and Mrs. Rudell Bates, Calvin; four brothers, Will Jones, Texas, Chester and
Henry Jones, both of Darnell, and Elisha Jones, Dodson; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa
Wookz and Mrs. Martha Ezell, both of Texas; 38 grandchildren, 14 great
grandchildren.
