Mrs. Ethel Jones Dies; Funeral Held Thursday

Mrs. Ethel Jones, 84, of Winnfield, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 19,
1970 in a Minden nursing home after a lengthy illness.  She was a native of
Winn Parish and a member of Laurel Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, G. W. Jones of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs. W. T.
Weeks of Minden and Mrs. Era Hutchinson of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. J. R.
Madden and Mrs. M. V. Malone, both of Winnfield; six grandchildren, and one
great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Heights Baptist Church
with Rev. C. C. Martin officiating.  Burial was in the Garden of Memories
Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.

Pallbearers were Bob Baker, James Russell, Dickie Heard, Dr. Henry Parker,
Lonnie Fogger, and Warren Allen, Jr.
