Lee Ed Jones, Winn Native, Dies Aug. 6

Lee Edward "Jake" Jones, 64, of Natchitoches, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday,
August 6, in the Natchitoches Parish Hospital.  A native of Winn Parish, he
was a merchant.

Rev. Frank Chance, assisted by Rev. Roy E. Moore, conducted funeral services
at 8 p.m. Friday in the Blanchard Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment was in
Memory Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Leland Wright, Gene Murphy, Carroll Fletcher, Gene Johnson,
Charles Nutt, and Owen Gentry.

In addition to the widow, the deceased is survived by a stepson, Fred Shuler
of Natchitoches; one daughter, Mrs. Chlotile Chellette of Montgomery; a
brother, Rufus Jones of Pine Prairie; and a sister, Mrs. Bernice Dickerson of
Laurel, Miss.
