E. Jones, Age 48, Held Monday P. M. Interment In Friendship Cemetery Near Fishville At 2:30 Funeral services for Mrs. Louis E. Jones, age 48, who died at her home near the salt mine and marble quarry Sunday morning, were held Monday afternoon with interment in the Friendship Cemetery near Fishville. The last rites were conducted by Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Winnfield, and Rev. J. C. Fogleman of Pollock. Mrs. Jones was born in LaSalle Parish, married in 1904, and then moved to Grant Parish. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Louis E. Jones, and the following children: Willie H. Jones, Winnfield, Mrs. Clarence Cockerham, Rochelle, Ruby Jones, New Orleans, Ava Jones, Winnfield, Elbert A. Jones, Winnfield, and Juanita Jones, Winnfield. Pallbearers were J. W. Harper, E. K. Carter, H. P. Burnette, Carl Anthony, James Eagles. Honorary pallbearers were F. E. Temple, Clyde Applewhite, Otis Dickerson, Lester Dickerson, Sol Brian, Richie Powers, W. N. Coburn, E. B. Barton, Frank Barton, Al Dowden, Clyde Taylor, Henry Fox, Earl Stinson, Walker Silman, and B. Alford.
