Clarence Jordan, 18, Dies At Home Near Here Mon.

Pneumonia Claims Victim After Illness of One Week

Clarence Jordan, 18 years of age, died at his home in the Jordan Hill
Community, Monday morning, 12 a.m., following a week's illness with pneumonia.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 12 p.m. at the Jordan
Hill Church with interment in the Jordan Hill Cemetery.  Rev. B. C. Land,
pastor of the Winnfield Baptist Church had charge.

The deceased was a popular youth in his community and took an active part in
the organization of the Jordan Hill BYPU.  He is survived by his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Joe H. Jordan; four sisters, Flora, Laure, Lilly Mae, and Maxine; two
brothers, Walter and Butler, and a number of uncles, aunts, and
cousins, of Jordan Hill.
