Last Rites For Colbert Jordan Held June 7th

Funeral services for Colbert D. Jordan, Sr., who died at 1:15 p.m. June 6, inn
an Alexandria hospital, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 7, in the Sikes
Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Willie James, and Rev. C. R. Weatherford
officiating.

Burial was in the Welcome Home Cemetery near Grayson.

Mr. Jordan was a heavy equipment operator.  He was a native of Bienville
Parish, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Sikes Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruth Jordan of Sikes; one son Colbert Jr., of
Sikes; one brother, Ray Jordan, West Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice
Lawrence, Gilbert, La., Mrs. Annie Lou Swaze, Winnsboro, La., and Mrs. Vera
Brooks, Rayville, La.
