Marion Francis Jordan Of Jordan Hill Dies December 15

Marion Francis Jordan, age 60 years and 10 months, died at his home Wednesday,
Dec. 15, after suffering ill health for the past several months.  Mr. Jordan
was a resident of the Jordan Hill Community and a member of the Big Creek
Baptist Church.  He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Georgetown, La.
Mr. Jordan was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Jordan and was first the
husband of Miss Anne Grayson.  After her death he married Miss Lillie McManus.

Funeral services were held at the Jordan Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Stokes
of Winnfield officiating.  Mr. Jordan is survived by three children by his
first wife, Wilford Jordan of Jordan Hill; Mrs. Lee Long of Corinth; and Mrs.
G. N. Young of Sikes; two children by his second wife, Mrs. Ray Waxley of
Corinth and Clayton Jordan of Jordan Hill.  Three grandchildren, four
brothers, Joe, Ervin, Lonnie, and Lawrence, all of Jordan Hill; five sisters,
Mrs. J. H. Maxey, Mrs. J. M. Rosier, Mrs. C. S. Smith, and Mrs. Joe Atwell of
Jordan Hill, and Mrs. Lacy Boyett of Springhill.

Acting as pallbearers were Clifford Bartley, Vernon Keen, Julius Smith, of
Jordan Hill, Julian Keen of Rochelle, and Alvin Keen of Tullos.
