A. Jordan Held At Zion Hill Funeral services for James A. Jordan, 72 year old native of Winn Parish, who succumbed at a Pineville hospital Wednesday, July 16, were held this afternoon, Thursday, at 3 o'clock at the Zion Hill Church in Tannehill with the Rev. Alwin Stokes and W. C. Bounds officiating. Burial was in the Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Jordan was born October 3, 1874 and spent most of his life in Winn Parish. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bessie Jordan of Dry Prong; three sons, Edward Jordan, who is serving in the U. S. Navy in Japan, J. P. Jordan of Alexandria, and Buford Jordan of Dry Prong; two daughters, Ruth Sowers of Dry Prong and Mrs. Annie R. Blume of Lake Charles; and one sister, Mrs. Alma Walker of Ball, Louisiana.
