J. H. Jordan, 85, Dies; Rites Held At Big Creek

Joseph Henry Jordan, 85, of Winnfield died Tuesday, November 25, 1969 at 8
p.m. in a Winnfield hospital.

Survivors include one son, Joe B. Jordan of Winnfield; four daughters, Mrs.
Flora Capps and Mrs. Laura O'Neal of Winnfield, Mrs. Lillie Mae Coburn of
Georgetown, and Mrs. Maxine McCartney of Alexandria; two brothers, Lonnie
Jordan and Lawrence Jordan of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. Rennie Maxey and
mrs. Florence Rosier of Winnfield and Mrs. Julie Boyett of Springhill; 14
grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Big Creek Baptist Church
with the Reverends Hardy Beaubouef, Willis Russell, and Jackie Aymond
officiating.  Burial was in the direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield with Masonic graveside services.
