Lawrence Alford Jordan

Funeral services for Lawrence Alford Jordan were held at 2 p.m. Sunday,
January 11, 1998, in the Southern Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Lamar
Carpenter officiating.  Burial was in Guin-Cox Cemetery under the direction of
Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.

Mr. Jordan, age 69, of Tenaha, Texas, died Friday, January 9, 1998 at Veterans
Hospital in Shreveport.  Mr. Jorday was a Baptist, a baker, and a native of
Winnfield.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene Jordan of Tenaha, TX; one son, John Taylor
Jorday of Tenaha, TX; five daughters, Janice Jordan of Washington State,
Dianne Jernigan of Houston, TX, Donna O'Neal of Corpus Christi, TX, Margaret
Rodriguez of Center, TX, and Barbara Jordan Salas of Tenaha, TX; one
brother, Melvin Jordan of Hornbeck, LA; one sister, Florence Martin of Urania;
and sixteen grandchildren.

Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by one son, Robert Ray Jordan.
