Mrs. Cora Jowers, 71, Succumbs; Rites Held Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Beatrice Jowers, 71, of Montgomery were held at
2 p.m. Monday at New Hope Cemetery, near Verda, with the Rev. Jack Holt
conducting graverites. Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield was in charge of services.

Mrs. Jowers died Sunday, August 26, 1973 at her residence after a short illness.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Jowers of Beaumont, Texas and Herman Jowers of
Montgomery; three daughters, Mrs. Cecil Matkin of Provencal, Mrs. Thomas
Shelton of Shreveport, and Mrs. Melba Singer of Lake Charles; one brother, J.
W. Moore of Montgomery; 14 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
