Jordan Dies Suddenly At Her Home Here Funeral Services Conducted Monday Burial In Greenwood Mrs. W. H. Jordan, 66 years, 8 months, and 24 days of age, who has been a resident of Winnfield for the past twenty-odd years, died at her home suddenly Monday morning at 4 o'clock. Although she had been in ill health for a long time, death came unexpectedly. The funeral procession left the home here Monday afternoon at 2:30 for Bentley where the last rites were conducted in the Bentley Baptist Church, of which the deceased and her husband were charter members. Dr. B. C. Land, pastor of the Winnfield Baptist Church and the Rev. C. A. Vane, pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Pineville had charge of the services. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Pineville. Pallbearers were Alex S. Hill, A. I. Talton, O. L. Hughes, Vernon Ray, G. H. Harrison, George Holmes, Richard Noah, and Jimmy Bemont. Mrs. Jordan was born July 1, 1869 in Waldren, Scott County, Ark. Before her marriage to Mr. Jordan thirty-five years ago she was Mary Dee Elizabeth Franklin. She was a member of the Winnfield Baptist Church. Surviving are the husband, W. H. Jordan; a nephew, Dee Franklin, whom she reared; three brothers, D. C. Franklin, Pineville, Ben Franklin, Oklahoma, J. Robert Franklin, Arkadelphia, Ark.; and two sisters, Mrs. S. R. Looper of Winnfield and Mrs. T. O. Hart of Bentley.
