Johnston Dies Following Five Weeks Illness James A. Johnston, 58 years of age, died at his home in the Sikes community, Saturday, October 30, following an illness of five weeks duration. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Sharon Church with Rev. Fordham officiating. Burial was in the Sharon Cemetery. Mr. Johnston, a prominent farmer and stock raiser, was born and reared and lived his entire life in the Sikes community. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Katie E. Johnston, one daughter, Mrs. H. M. Calhoun of Sikes; and five sons, W. N. Johnston of Clarks; W. R. Johnston, Floyd Johnston, C. W. Johnston, Royal Johnston, all of Sikes; and two brothers, Harvey Johnston of Texas and L. L. Johnston of Sikes.
