O. M. Jarnagin, 88, Succumbs; Rites Monday

Funeral services for Oscar M. Jarnagin, 88, who died Sunday, January 1, 1967,
in a local hospital after a long illness, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in
the Southern Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial was in the Old Union Cemetery.

He was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish, a retired carpenter and a member
of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ferrell Jarnagin and Bryant Jarnagin,
both of Winnfield; five daughters, Mrs. Fannie Shetley, Mrs. Lois Porter, and
Mrs. Gail Garrett, all of Winnfield, Mrs. C. V. (Monnie) Collier of Monroe,
and Mrs. Mary Johnson of Washington, D. C.; and 16 grandchildren and four
great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Charles Emmons, Harold Emmons, Lynn Lasyone, Monty "Bucky"
Jarnagin, all grandsons; Noah Gilcrease, Jr., and Ben Nugent, nephews.
