All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: August 14, 1941 Winn Parish Enterprise Wounded Negro Dies August 8th At Pineville Alex Keegans, colored, died on August 8 at a Pineville hospital as the result of a gun shot wound in the lower abdomen which was inflicted on July 27 at 4 a.m. by Marshal E. O. Baker of Winnfield. Keegans, 35, resided in the Brooks Quarters and was employed by R. J. Lasyone, local plumber. The colored man was hot by Baker early Sunday morning, July 27, near the home of Robert Maxey where he was found drunk.
