Robert S. Keen Dies Of Heart Attack Wednesday

Funeral services were held at the Laurel Heights Baptist Church here at 3 p.m.
Thursday for Robert S. Keen, 45, who died in a local hospital at about 2 a.m.
Wednesday following a heart attack.

Rites were conducted by the Rev. H. J. Mott, pastor of the church, and burial
was in the Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Born Dec. 6, 1906, Keen was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish and employed at
Carey Salt Mine here and a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruth Keen; three sons, Buddy, Thomas, and
John D., and two daughters, Carrie and Sara Keen, all of Winnfield; five
brothers, J. C., C. H., J. A., H. V., and D. W., all of Joyce; two sisters,
Mrs. J. A. Spangler of Joyce and Mrs. R. C. Townsend of Winnfield.
