A. Keiffer, Succumbs Services for former Winn Parish Police Jury President Henry A. Keiffer were held Monday at 2 p.m. in Mount Zion Methodist Church in the Wheeling Community with Dr. Calvin Phelps and the Rev. Ray Teal officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home, Winnfield. Keiffer, 78, died Saturday afternoon in Natchitoches Parish Hospital, Natchitoches. He was a native of Winn Parish and a member of the Winn Parish Police Jury for 28 years, 12 of which he served as jury president. Keiffer was a businessman, farmer, and a longtime resident of Wheeling. He was also a longtime member of Mount Zion Methodist Church and was the president of the Mount Zion Cemetery Corp. Keiffer was a past president of the Louisiana Polled Herefords Association, a member of the Montgomery Masonic Lodge No. 168 and a Shriner. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Orendorff Keiffer of Wheeling; two daughters, Erlene Bailey of Little Rock, Ark., and Sherrye Smith of Wheeling; two sisters, Thelma Rainer of Sibley and Ivey Brooks of Bossier City; and five grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Mount Zion Cemetery Corp., Fund of the H. A. Keiffer Scholarship Fund, sponsored by the Louisiana Polled Hereford Association.
