Keirsey, Interred Here Graveside rites were conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, for Mrs. Helen Louise Siess Keirsey, 63, of 632 Touchey, Lake Charles, Louisiana, at the Bolton-Teagle Cemetery, on the Old Calvin Road, under direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Reverend Larry Ramsour, pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church of Lake Charles, officiated. Pallbearers were Robert E. Tadlock, Randy Tadlock, and David Tadlock of Shreveport, John Horton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jesse Porter and Harold Scaife of Lake Charles. Mrs. Keirsey died Sunday, January 6, in a Lake Charles hospital following a brief illness. Having been born in Winnfield in August, 1910, she lived the early years of her life here. She was the daughter of the late Louis P. and Minnie Mathis Siess. In addition to her parents, both her maternal grandparents and great grandparents, Charles P. and Rachel Bolton Mathis and Nathaniel and Rachel Wall Bolton, pioneer residents of Winn Parish were buried in this cemetery. One brother, Jack Siess of Lake Charles, preceded Mrs. Keirsey in death and was interred October 26, 1972 in the family plot. She is survived immediately by three brothers, Charles P. Siess of Brenham, Texas, R. Edward Siess of Lake Charles, and John D. Siess of Jacksonville, Florida and Lake Charles; one nephew, Charles P. Siess, Jr., of Houston, Texas, and four nieces, Mrs. Thomas H. Kepner, Marnie Siess, of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Ardis L. Tadlock, Gretchen Siess, of Shreveport; and Miss Jacqueline Siess of Jacksonville, Florida, and Miss Terri Siess of Mednia, Ohio. Attend Funeral Of Mrs. Helen Kiersey Following graveside funeral services in the Bolton-Teagle Cemetery for Mrs. Helen Keirsey, January 8, Miss Lowice Teddlie, Mrs. Bess Davis and Mr. John W. Teddlie, local cousins of the deceased, invited those attending to their home at 603 East Lafayette Street for refreshments. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Siess of Brenham, Texas, Mr. Charles P. Siess, Jr., of Houston, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. R. Edward Siess of Lake Charles; Mr. David Tadlock of Lake Charles, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Siess of Jacksonville, Florida; Mr. and Mrs. Ardis L. Tadlock and sons, Robert E., Randy, and William, daughter, Miss Becky Tadlock, and Miss Kathy Taylor of Shreveport; Rev. Larry Ramsour, Lake Charles; Mr. Edward T. Horton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and son, Mr. John W. Horton; Mrs. Ophelia Moss Store, Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Martin, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Simmons.
