Kelly Pioneer Resident of Winnfield Dies Fri. Mrs. Lilly A. Kelly, 83 year old wife of the late Dr. J. F. Kelly of Colfax died Friday morning at the home of her son, Dr. Dan Wade Kelly of Oak Grove. Mrs. Kelly when a small girl came to Union Parish from Tennessee with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. M. K. Wade. She married Dr. J. F. Kelly in 1866. They were among the pioneer settlers of Winnfield and Dr. Kelly practiced here for many years. They moved to Colfax in 1891 where they lived until Dr. Kelly's death in 1904. Mrs. Kelly was a devout life-long member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Dan Wade Kelly and Dr. John L. Kelly of Oak Grove; one sister, Mrs. G. W. Bolton of Alexandria; and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Alwin Stokes officiating. Interment was made in the Winnfield Cemetery. Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral are: Dr. and Mrs. Dan Wade Kelly and Dr. and Mrs. John L. Kelly of Oak Grove; Mrs. George Bolton of Alexandria; Mrs. Carrie Pryor of Homer; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bolton of Alexandria; Mrs. Bertha Hall and O. M. Grisham of Monroe; Mr. and Mrs. T. H. McNeely and Luther McKnight of Colfax.
