Kelley Age 73 Died Monday morn. In Alexandria John Charles Kelley, aged 73 years, and one of Winnfield's oldest citizens, succumbed at 6:10 a.m. Monday at the Alexandria Hospital, following a brief illness in which he suffered complications. The death of Mr. Kelley came as a shock to the majority of Winnfield citizens, who were unaware of his illness, which necessitated him being carried to Alexandria, Saturday night. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church, with the pastor, Rev. Alwin Stokes, in chargeof the service. Interment was made in the Winnfield Cemetery, where a large concourse of sorrowing loved ones and friends gathered to pay their last tribute of respect. Surviving him are his wife, two sons, J. H. and C. E. Kelley of Alexandria, and two daughters, Mrs. Max Brown of Zwolle, and Mrs. Manton Woods of this city, to whom friends and acquaintances extend sincere sympathy in their bereavement.
