Kelly Lee Jackson Kelly, 46, passed away at his home on Route 1, Winnfield, June 26, 1952, after a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Twin Church at Couley at 2 p.m. June 28, with the Rev. E. W. Evans officiating, assisted by Rev. W. C. Elmore. Burial was in the Couley Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers. Acting as pallbearers were Lee Cloud, Tommy Cloud, E. F. Taylor, Marlin Connor, George Finney, and Lawrence Speed. A native of the Couley community, Mr. Kelly was a carpenter by trade. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Velma Robinson Kelly, Winnfield; three sons, Roy, of Shreveport; A. L. of Delasco, Texas, and Jerry of Winnfield; and two foster daughters, Velma Frances Foster and Doris Jean Foster, all of Winnfield; one brother, Oren Kelly of Shreveport, and one sister, Mrs. Ollie Myers of Winnfield.
