Death Claims Mrs. Jesse Kennedy At Home Here

Mrs. Jesse M. Kennedy, 62, died Thursday, November 23, at her home in
Winnfield.  She had been ill for many months.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 Friday morning at the First Methodist
Church with Rev. Isaac Patton of Monroe and Rev. P. M. Carraway and Rev. H. J.
Mott of Winnfield officiating.  Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery under
direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kennedy was born June 24, 1888 in Alabama.  She lived in Winnfield 21
years, where she was affiliated with the First Methodist Church and its
organizations.

She is survived by her husband; one son, C. K. Kennedy of Shreveport; six
daughters, Mrs. Inez Barton, Mrs. Hazel Howell, and Mrs. Sue Williams of
Winnfield; Mrs. W. D. Henderson of Jonesboro; Mrs. Lois Goins of Haynesville,
and Mrs. Jessie Cullon of Dallas, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. W. R. Sneed of
Jonesboro; Mrs. Franklin Hammons of Dodson; Mrs. D. E. Johnson of Chatham;
Mrs. J. R. Crye of Shreveport; and Mrs. A. L. Golden of Hodge; five brothers,
W. L. Morris of Jonesboro; R. E. Morris of Baton Rouge; C. D. Morris of
Orange, Texas; A. Morris of Morgan City; and Roy Morgan Morris of Tulsa,
Okla.; and 14 grandchildren.
