J. Keyes Laid To Rest In Sardis Cemetery Funeral Services Conducted By The Rev. Sherwood and The Rev. Cullen Funeral services for Mrs. I. J. Keyes, who died at her home in Sardis, April 3, after a lingering illness, were held at the Sardis church, April 4. Interment was in the Old Sardis Cemetery. The Rev. W. D. Sherwood and Rev. A. H. Cullen had charge of the services. Mrs. Keyes was born in Sardis Community September 22, 1882, in which community she was reared and spent her lifetime. She was a devoted Christian since early childhood, being a member of the Sardis church. The deceased was a sister of Mrs. C. R. Mixon, Mrs. H. C. Eagles and Mrs. Hasson Morris of Winnfield and the daughter of J. W. Shelton of Winnfield. She is survived by two brothers and four other sisters, husband, and the following children: Ivy, Vester, Eugene, Archie, Roy and Josh, Jr. Out-of-town relatives attending the funeral were: Rev. and Mrs. J. H. Keyes of Baskin, R. B. Shelton and wife of Ridgewood, Ala., Mrs. A. B. Hughes of Montgomery, Howard Keyes of Swartz, Ben and Fayt Keyes of near Winnsboro. (Submitted by John W.
