All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: March 25, 1971 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Former Winn Resident Dies In Monroe Monroe Key of Monroe, La., former resident of Calvin, died Wednesday, March 17, 1971 at 9:30 p.m. at the age of 62, of a heart attack. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Key of Calvin. Mr. Key was a farmer most of his life until about seven years ago he moved to Monroe where he owned and operated a grocery store. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 21, 1971 at Crocket Point Baptist Church, near Crowville. Burial was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Larry Walker officiating. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Luna Smith Key, two sons, J. W. Key of Monroe and Daniel Key of Vicksburg, Mississippi; one daughter, Mrs. William Kirby of Monroe; two brothers, Presley Key of Lake Providence, Curtis Key of Route 3, Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Curlee Davis, Route 1, Delhi, Mrs. Vennie Wilkinson of Calvin, and six grandchildren, and a host of nephews and nieces and friends. Among the relatives attending the Key funeral Sunday at Crowville from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Ira Key, Mrs. Mary Bell Davis of Many, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wilkinson, Sherry and Susan of Shreveport, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Harper of Seabrook, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Glyn Edward Key, Curtis Key, Mrs. Della Bustin, Jerry and David Key, all of Winnfield, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Wilkinson of Calvin, and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Williams of Winnfield.
