Kidd Dies At Home In Ruston On Monday Mother of E. E. Kidd, Local Attorney, Dies At Age of 90 Mrs. Annie P. Kidd, 90, pioneer citizen of Ruston, and mother of Earl E. Kidd, local attorney, died at the family residence at Ruston Monday evening at 6:30 o'clock. Mrs. Kidd had been ill for more than a year and her advanced age contributed to her failing health. Mr. and Mrs. Earl E. Kidd, because of their mother's illness have been regular and constant attendants at her bedside. Mrs. Kidd was born in Louisiana in 1848. Immediately following the Civil War, she was married to Captain Edwin E. Kidd, formerly of Taladega, Alabama. They made their home at Old Vernon from 1865 to 1889, when they moved to Ruston. Captain Kidd during his lifetime was a prominent attorney of Ruston and was favorably known throughout north Louisiana. Since his death 43 years ago, Mrs. Kidd has resided in Ruston in the home built by her and her husband. Funeral services were conducted from the family residence Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock with the Rev. Guy M. Hicks, pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church officiating. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Kidd are two sons, Earl E. Kidd of Winnfield and Thelbert Kidd, Ruston; two daughters, Miss Eula Kidd and Mrs. Kethleen Vonderheit, Ruston, and six grandchildren.
