Grover C. Kidd, 82, Succumbs; Rites Held Friday

Grover Clemment Kidd, 82, of Sikes, died about 8 a.m. Thursday, September 4,
1969 at Winnfield General Hospital following a brief illness.

Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Friday at Sikes Baptist Church with the
Rev. Willie James officiating.  Burial was in Sikes Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rilla Evans Kidd of Sikes; one son, Thurl C.
Kidd of Rockport, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Margie Gean of DeQuincy; one
brother, Harris R. Kidd of Pineville; and five grandchildren.
