Enoch Kieffer, 82, Winn Native, Is Buried At Couley

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, 1959, at the Double
Churches Cemetery, Couley Community, for Enoch Kieffer, 82, of Jonesville, who
died Thursday in his home with his daughter and son in law, John W. Davis,
after years of prolonged illness.

The Revs. Gorum and J. O. McNair officiated and burial was held in the Couley
community cemetery under direction of Edmonds of Jonesboro.

He was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish and farmed until ill health
prevented any activity.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Frances P. Kieffer; one brother, Elijah Kieffer
of Route 3, Winnfield; one son, Enoch Kieffer, Jr., of Goldonna; one daughter,
Mrs. Velder Davis of Jonesville; three grandchildren and five great
grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
