All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: March 12, 1942 Winn Parish Enterprise Last Rites Held For Mrs. Pearl Kieffer March 5 Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Kieffer, age 35, who died Tuesday morning, March 3, at 10 a.m., in a Shreveport sanitarium, were held at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 5th, with the Rev. James A. Jones officiating. He was assisted by Lula Wardlow and the Rev. Corey. Interment was made in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. W. H. Dixon and a member of one of the oldest families now in this locality. She was a consistent member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church, a member of the Bible Class and a charter member of the W. M. S., a firm believer in God and one who spoke in deeds rather than words. Surviving are her husband, H. A. Kieffer, one daughter, Erlene Kieffer, one son, William Kieffer, her father, Mr. W. G. Dixon and stepmother, Mrs. W. H. Dixon; four brothers, O. H. Dixon, C. L. Dixon, H. G. Dixon, all of Montgomery, and Tommy Dixon of High Point, N. C., one half sister, Mrs. J. P. McLaren of Montgomery, also six aunts and six uncles.
