Funeral services for Mrs. Zelma E. Kiely, 71, of Winnfield were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sougtern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Haley officiating. Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Kiely died Thursday, October 4, 1973 in a local hospital. A native of Winn Parish, she was a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church in Winnfield. Survivors include one son, James D. Lyles of El Paso, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Brazzie Maddox of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Cotelle Moran of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Sybil Robinette of Slidell, and Mrs. Juanita Brown of Sarasota, Fla.; three brothers, Otis W. Machen of Winnfield, William H. Machen of Jonesboro, and Millard F. Machen of Midland, Tex.; and two grandsons. Pallbearers were Charles Machen, Woody Smith, Earl Robinette, P. K. Smith, Glen Machen, and C. C. Taylor.
