Killen School Board Member Of Ward 2, Died Tues. Funeral Services Held At Henderson Hill Cemetery Near Boyce Wednesday Afternoon Arthur G. Killen, school board member from Ward Two Winn Parish for the past four years, died in the Baptist Hospital, Alexandria, at 2 o'clock, Tuesday, September 2, 1930, after a short illness. Mr. Killen was 48 years old. He was born and raised in the Boyce Community, but had made his home in Ward Two of this parish for several years. He was married to the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Roberts, well known Winn Parish citizens. The deceased is survived by his wife and six children as follows: Bertha, Carlos, Ethel, A. G., Jr., Jesse, and Winsome Killen. He also leaves three brothers and three sisters. They are: Baxter Killen, of Ferriday; Gus Killen,of Boyce, B. F. Killen, Mrs. A. H. Swany, Mrs. R. C. Beauboueff, and Mrs. C. L. Ates, Pineville. The body was conveyed to the residence of B. F. Killen, Pineville, where it remained until Wednesday afternoon, when the funeral procession went to Henderson Hill Cemetery, on Bayou Rapides, where interment was made at 4 o'clock. Superintendent D. E. Sikes and John N. Sowers of Winnfield, J. N. Taylor of Ward Four, and M. F. Collier of Ward Six attended the funeral services from Winnfield Wednesday.
