Mrs. Blanche Kilpatrick, 78, of Jonesboro, died at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 1970, in a West Monroe hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Kilpatrick was a native of Eros but had lived in Jonesboro for many years. Her late husband, Luther Kilpatrick, was at one time state representative for Jackson Parish. She was the mother of Willard H. Kilpatrick, a former chairman of the Louisiana State Board of Institutions and a member of the Coordinating Council for Higher Education, and of Dr. Arnold Kilpatrick, president of Northwestern State College. She is survived by two other sons, J. G. Kilpatrick of Jonesboro and Travis Kilpatrick of Eros; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 14, in the Jonesboro Methodist Church with Rev. James L. Adams, Rev. Dell Durand, and Rev. Roy Grant officiating. Burial was in Frantom's Chapel Cemetery at Eros.
