Funeral Rites For George E. King, 69, Held

Funeral services for George E. King, 69, of Winnfield, were held at 2 p.m.
Thursday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Wayne Toms and D.
L. Callendar officiating.

Burial was in Nolley Memorial Cemetery in Jena.

Mr. King died Wednesday, April 10, 1968 at a nursing home in Jena after a
short illness.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Josie Avery of Winnfield; three brothers,
Hubert King of Natchitoches, Louis King of Alexandria, and Donald King of
Bartlesville, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Katy Brown of Alexandria; and two
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Oliver Guilliams, Allen Guilliams, L. L. Brewton, Jr., T. A.
Fogger, Larry Williams, and Rayford Higgs.
