King, 54, Dies of Heart Attack Monday J. C. King, 54 years of age, died at his home in Winnfield Monday morning as a result of a heart attack. Mr. King was retired as engineer of the L. & A. Railway Company in March of this year because of ill health, after 33 years of service. At the time of his death he was operating a grocery store in Winnfield. Mr. King was a member of the B. of L. F. & E. and the Masonic Lodge of Minden, La. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Alwin Stokes, Rev. H. H. McBride, and Rev. Harvey B. Hysell. Interment was in the Jena Cemetery. A Masonic service was held at the cemetery by the Winnfield and Jena Lodges. Surviving Mr. King are his wife and three daughters, Mildred, Nancy Anne, and Shirley; two brothers, A. F. King, of Shreveport, and J. B. King, of Monroe; and two sisters, Mrs. M. M. Ward of Jena and Mrs. A. M. Shelton of Waterproof.
