King Dies In A Shreveport Sanitarium Mon. W. C. King, 45 years old, local car inspector, died Monday night in a Shreveport sanitarium as a result of injuries sustained last Saturday night when he supposedly fell from a trestle on the Tremont and Gulf Railway. King left Winnfield about 9:30 Saturday night to go to Gorham, four miles from here, to see his aged mother, who is ill. At 11 o'clock Sunday morning he was found in a dying condition at the foot of a trestle spanning Dugdemona River. He either fell or was pushed from the trestle, since there are no night trains or motor cars on the line. His skull was crushed and right thing mangled, King was found shortly before noon Sunday by some small boys and H. A. Gorham, a relative. He was brought to Winnfield Tuesday afternoon and was buried at the Gorham graveyard Wednesday. King was a resident of South Winnfield, where he leaves a large family.
