Daughter of The Late Maynard Shetley Killed

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Labat were called to Lake Charles Wednesday to attend the
funeral of Mrs. Labat's niece, Margie Shetley King, who was killed last
Saturday in a city in Michigan State when she was struck by a car as she
crossed the street to enter the library where she was doing research for work
on her doctoral degree.  She was the daughter of the late Maynard "Mike"
Shetley, Mr. of Winnfield, and had spent her early life in Winnfield.

Last rites were conducted at 10 a.m. in Lake Charles with burial in a cemetery
in that city.

Surviving are her husband, George King, and a son; her mother and two
brothers, all of Lake Charles.
