Mrs. Laura Kirkland

Mrs. Lorna Kirkland died at the home of her brother in law, John Kirkland,
Friday, July 30th, and was buried in the cemetery at Cypress Creek, Saturday,
July 31st.  Rev. John D. Kitchingham conducted the services.

Mrs. Kirkland was born in Henry County, Alabama, November 30, 1842 and moved
to Louisiana in 1854.

Early in life she joined the Baptist Church and remained a faithful loyal
member until her death.

She leaves a large number of relatives with hosts of friends to mourn her
death.

(The article lists both Laura and Lorna, but Briley's Cemetery lists Laura so
apparently Laura is correct)
