Mrs. Elizabeth Kelly Dies At Age of 95 Years

Mrs. Elizabeth Kelly, age 95 years, died at her home in Sikes, Thursday, March
8th.

Mrs. Kelly was born in Georgia and moved to the Sikes settlement in this
parish in 1852 where she spent the remainder of her life.  She joined the
church in her early girlhood and at the time of her death was a member of the
New Hope Methodist Church.

The deceased is survived by four children: W. S. Kelly, Winnfield; J. T.
Kelly, A. C. Kelly, and Mrs. Georgia Gates, of Sikes, and a host of
grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at New Hope Church Friday, March 9, Rev. W. M. D.
Gaar officiating.  Interment was in the New Hope Cemetery.
